PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES
As you can see, this PSU has virtually everything the most demanding PC enthusiast or gamer could want. Active PFC and very high efficiency, combined with 1.2 kW of power and support for all multi-GPU setups, this is a truly top-of-the-line PSU for extreme enthusiasts and gamers. Let's take a closer look at the specs.
This spec sheet, from the Thermaltake website, contains a lot of information, but there are several things that jump out. Probably the most impressive are the Amp ratings of the four +12V rails. The first and second rails are rated at 20A each, and the third and fourth carry a rating of a whopping 36A each. That's a hell of a lot of power, folks! Thermaltake rates this PSU stable at 1,200 watts continuous at 50C, too. Some unscrupulous suppliers rate their PSU's at some ridiculously low temperature, but not Thermaltake. Let's face facts, if the inside of your chassis is running in excess of 120F, you've got problems. Extremely tight voltage regulation (+/- 3%,) active power factor correction and efficiency exceeding 80% are outstanding features that will keep the most demanding hardware happily chugging away. It just might save you a buck or two on your electricity bill, too. The 1200W is quite long, at almost eight inches, and my cause fitment issues in some chassis'. As the name suggests, this is a modular PSU and includes a variety of sleeved cables for virtually any hardware configuration one is likely to encounter. The 140mm fan responds to increased demand by ramping up the RPMs to keep the internals cool, while remaining whisper quiet. There are also a full compliment of protections and certifications.
