PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

As I have found out over many business trip, when you are on the road and are in need of getting a serious amount of work done on your laptop, using the touch pad on your laptop just doesn't cut it. What you are in need of is a dependable mouse that is both accurate, dependable, well made and easy to carry in your laptop bag. Sure a standard mouse would do, but who needs that huge bulge sticking out the side of your laptop bag and posing a risk of damaging your laptop every time you mistaking bump something with it.

Because of this, notebook mice are getting more and more popular. They offer 100% of the functionality of a standard mouse, but have it all packed into a smaller package. In addition, seeing that most laptop buyers are consumers that like to be unplugged and free to roam (hence why you buy a laptop), it is only common sense that a wireless mouse would make a smart purchase.

To fill that niche, Microsoft's already extensive line of mice was expanded to include the Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000. Is it a good replacement for your standard mouse on the road? Let's find out.
